Well, the long weekend is already over. It's a shame how the good things never last. It's probably for the best, a few days longer, and I fear I would never go back to school again.

Favorite-person-in-the-whole-world-best-friend-Lisa so graciously invited me over to her parent's house for Thanksgiving. It was a very fun and enjoyable evening. Even the food was really good! It was nice to actually bite into a hunk of meat - it's been so long.

I was all set ot get up at 5 am on Friday and hit the shopping centers. But it didn't happen. I bought a paper and looked through the ads when I realized that they didn't have anything on sale that I wanted. Very disappointing. Of course, on Friday afternoon, after sleeping in, I noticed that they had the collectors edition of the first seasons of the simpsons on sale at Best Buy. So, at 3 pm Lisa and I head over. Of course, they're all sold out, not to mention the sale ended at noon. Oh well, I bought Three Kings, Ace Ventura, and both X-Men movies. Don't know if that was a good idea. Oh well, it's done now. Ahh, I also bought the new Korn album, Take a Look in the Mirror, which thanks to the absence of all roommates and neighbors on Saturday, I was able to blast on the stero while playing the new Mario Kart.

Take a Look in the Mirror is good. It is short, especially for Korn, who usually fills up their cds. There are several songs that really kick ass, a few other good ones. But Alive was put on this album, and that's been out (albeit unreleased) for a long time now, and it doesn't feel new enough to put on a new album. Did My Time is really good, but I've had it for a few months now, and it was on MTV not associated with this new album, so I still feel a bit gyped. The "hidden" trak is a live recording of a cover performance, neither of which I am big fans. My biggest gripe though is that stupid rapper, Nas, who's a big part of one of the songs. But, I don't know how much I should be complaining. It has only been a year since their last release, and usually it is two or three. Still, I expect better quality, not quantity.

Mario Kart: Double Dash is pretty good. The two players per cart is more of a novelty then a big innovation, however. The second item slot and the specialty items are appreciated though. The maps are nice and varried, though still reminiscent of the Mario Kart 64 versions. Lisa and I managed to beat gold the first cup and silver the second, but it's hard, and due tomorrow. I doubt we'll finish it. The new battle modes are nice, one consists of throwing bom-ombs like mad trying to hit your opponents. It's exciting! Not the best maps for battle though. I wish the old N64 maps and courses were available. Perhaps if we actually beat the whole thing...

Well, final's week approaches, and I have a few big things to keep me busy, so goodevening.

"Look at any photograph or work of art. If you could duplicate exactly the first tiny dot of color, and then the next and the next, you would end with a perfect copy of the whole, indistinguishable from the original in every way, including the so-called "moral value" of the art itself. Nothing can transcend its smallest elements." - CEO Nwabudike Morgan, "The Ethics of Greed"

PS Lisa, don't hate me for that quote, just put a nasty tagboard post up.
