Alden: That does not entitle them to anything - and just because I was born first does not entitle them to anything from me. If I choose to help them, so be it, but it was not their entitlement.
Alden: Just because you're born does not mean anything. Even the most incompetent are born.
Chad: Yes, but it's NOT in my best interest to promote the survival of others at the expense of my own; we aren't slaves to those who aren't capable of providing for themselves
Julia: And don't give me the survival of the fittest answer. If you are born into poverty and can't afford a doctor as a child, no matter how brilliant you are, you're pretty screwed.
Julia: But isn't it in our best interest as a society to encourage the survival of our people?
Chad: Yeah, it is hard to survive in those situations; what's your point? Survival is not guaranteed; that's part of being a living organism.
Chad: And i whole-heartedly agree; the government shouldn't throw you in jail for drug use; it's definitely an area where they are not doing what they're supposed to.
Chad: Yes, but the possibility of me being wrong does not indicate that i AM; only an argument with reasons saying that i AM wrong could do that.
Nick: On the issue of using my mind to survive, it's fairly hard to survive regardless of one's freedom of thought/action when one is starving to death/badly ill or injured/burning to death/whatever.
Nick: On the issue of initiating force, being thrown into prison for smoking a joint, which affects no one but ME seems a little restrictive of my personal rights.
Nick: On the issue of cultural determination of rights...if your entire culture can be wrong, maybe YOU are wrong...or I am, or WE both are.
Nick: Your d12 is weak. I roll a natural 20, critical hit, all relationships gone, fired, expelled, all leads to broken.
